При использовании оси подвески достигается минимальная габаритная высота траверсы, при использовании цепного стропа достигается большая устойчивость (уменьшается раскачка) траверсы при подъеме груза. В нижней части вертикальной пластины расположено отверстие, предназначенное для размещения такелажной скобы, к которой можуг быть присоединены грузовые цепные стропы, служащие для присоединения к траверсе торцевых захватов для труб. Первый элемент – ось подвески. Траверса оснащена четырьмя парами симметрично расположенных вертикальных пластинчатых подвесок, размещенных во внутренней части балки траверсы. Таким образом, имеется возможность изменять расстояние между стропами, присоединенными к траверсе, что позволяет использовать траверсу для подъема и перемещения труб различной длины.
